Coin collectors from all across the Coast headed to the Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center for the 61st annual Coin and Currency Show.
Guests were able to buy and sell different coins and currency from about 35 dealers. Collectibles ranging from a couple bucks to hundreds of dollars were on sale at the event.
Show Chairman Normal Carnovale says his favorite part of these shows is being able to bring old and new members of the collecting community together to share in their hobbies. “It’s as fun as can be, and if you stay here long enough and just walk around, everybody is laughing… everybody is having a good time. It really is a very fun thing to do. There are folks with their families here, kids here. There was a five- or six-year-old who came up to my table and sold me about five coins. You know, it really is fun.”
Other items such as jewelry were also sold at the event.
