The BJP accused Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and other Congress leaders of politicizing the Enforcement Directorate’s action in the examination paper leak case. The Congress had earlier criticized the ED’s raids and accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of using probe agencies for political gain in the upcoming state assembly polls. The ED had conducted raids on the premises of Rajasthan Congress president Govind Singh Dotasra and summoned Chief Minister Gehlot’s son in a foreign exchange violation case. The BJP defended the action, stating that it was necessary to catch the “big fishes” involved in corruption.
Rajasthan polls: Supporters of BJP dissidents damage furniture in Rajsamand party office
Supporters of BJP dissidents in Rajasthan protested against the party’s ticket distribution for the upcoming assembly elections. They damaged furniture in the party office and burnt campaign material and tires. The party’s state disciplinary committee suspended four members for indiscipline. Similar protests were witnessed in other cities as well. The party has fielded candidates for 124 out of 200 assembly seats. Voting will take place on November 25, with the counting of votes on December 3.
Telangana polls: BJP fields Mithun Kumar Reddy from Mahabubnagar assembly constituency
The BJP has announced A P Mithun Kumar Reddy as their candidate for the Mahabubnagar assembly constituency in the upcoming Telangana Legislative Assembly polls. Mithun Kumar Reddy, son of former MP AP Jitender Reddy, expressed gratitude towards top party leaders for giving him the opportunity. The BJP had previously released a list of 52 candidates, including three Lok Sabha MPs. T Raja Singh, a controversial Hindutva leader, was also given a ticket after his suspension was revoked. Etala Rajender, the head of the BJP’s election committee in Telangana, will contest from Huzurabad.
